Baby clothes should be washed according to the label instructions and separated by color. Use a mild detergent and avoid excessive amounts. Proper rinsing helps remove residues that may remain in the fibers. Treat milk, food, or diaper stains quickly. Rinse the piece in cold water before washing and avoid rubbing too hard. Close snaps and zippers before putting the clothes in the washing machine. Small items, like socks or mittens, can be washed in a mesh bag. Dry all pieces completely before storing them. Organize clothes by size to make rotation easier and prevent some items from being outgrown before they are used.
