A good bath towel should be absorbent, comfortable, and suitable for its intended use. Heavier towels tend to be denser and more enveloping, but they also take longer to dry. Lighter options are practical for daily use, the gym, or poorly ventilated homes. Look at the quality of the pile, seams, and finishes. Fibers should be evenly distributed and edges should have durable stitching. Also confirm the size. A standard bath towel is practical for everyday use, while a bath sheet offers greater coverage. Before first use, wash the towel to remove manufacturing residue and improve absorbency.
